About Bente Bak
Bente is a freelance Product Designer, illustrator, and UX community builder with 9+ years of experience in UX research and Proposition Development. She loves bringing ideas to life:
Diving into user research to understand people deeply, then creating experiences that have real impact and meaning.
She’s always brimming with ideas and side hustles: like publishing her weekly hand-drawn UX comic and facilitating intimate in-person UX workshops in Rotterdam.
When she’s not creating, you can catch her playing guitar, dancing bachata, learning Hindi, or playing table tennis at the gym.
What is your vision on our UX industry?
We’re in the middle of the AI craze; tools and promises are coming at us from every direction..
Generative interfaces and intelligent agents redefine workflows and interaction paradigms. And we can create faster and more complex systems than ever.
As tech evolves at an unprecedented pace, UX becomes more important. When human touchpoints fade from everyday products, the role of design shifts from shaping interfaces to shaping relationships. Designers are not only designing interfaces, but also guiding organizations toward experiences that feel alive, intentional, and deeply human.
The future of UX lies in balancing technological possibility with emotional understanding. Creating products that help people thrive, not just click.
I think it’s a great time to go against the grain and follow your intuition. Great ideas are born in times of change, don’t just design what’s asked for. Design what leads us toward a livable and meaningful future.
