About Maarten Reijgersberg

Maarten Reijgersberg is a leading creative and practical concept developer. He is the founder of RAUWcc, the Rotterdam based creative agency.

Together with his wife he runs BLAUWcc, the Rotterdam based gallery and concept store for all things blue. He is also active as public speaker, guest lecturer and super connector.

Maarten has mastered the ability to transform wild ideas into effective communication strategies that strengthen brands. Period. His innovative approach ensures a seamless synergy between technology and communication. With his background as a visual artist, his entrepreneurial approach, and his future-oriented vision, he continuously pushes the boundaries of the branding realm.

In 2019, his agency launched Esther Olofsson, the first Dutch virtual influencer. The project has gone through multiple iterations, showcasing Maarten’s commitment to exploring how virtual personas can bridge the gap between brands and audiences.

His current focus includes virtual brand ambassadors for several clients, AI-generated content and conversational agents like RAUWcc’s AI Slackbot and chatbot ‘AI-Maarten’.

What is your vision on the future of the creative industry?

Maarten believes that the creative industry must prioritize humanizing technology. His vision is driven by a desire to make digital experiences more emotionally intelligent and socially engaging. The industry is shifting from static branding to living, evolving identities. And virtual brand ambassadors are at the forefront of that evolution.

Key innovations impacting his work include:

  • AI-generated content
  • Virtual humans and influencers (e.g., Esther Olofsson)
  • Conversational AI (e.g., custom chatbots)
  • Mixed reality & holographic interfaces

These technologies enable brands to create consistent, flexible, and scalable personalities that resonate with audiences in a more human and immersive way.
