About Flaminia del Conte
I help organisations design products and services that genuinely work for people.
My work sits at the intersection of UX, service design, and innovation, where I support teams in navigating complexity and turning research, insights, and constraints into clear, actionable decisions. I’ve worked across Europe, both as a consultant and in-house, shaping digital products, mentoring teams, and facilitating collaborative workshops to tackle complex challenges.
I’m a certified Participatory Gender Auditor (ILO) and bring an equity lens into my practice, ensuring that inclusion is considered from strategy to execution. I have taught at RUFA, Talent Garden, and the Royal College of Art, supporting the next generation of designers in connecting purpose with practice.
What is your vision on our Creative Industry
I believe design has the power to change the world, slowly and intentionally, by holding space for the hard conversations most people would rather avoid.
Design doesn’t start with beauty. It often starts with discomfort: questioning what exists, naming what isn’t working, and resisting the urge to smooth things over too quickly. That tension isn’t a flaw: it’s where better products, services, and systems begin.
This is a demanding moment for our industry. We’re being asked to move beyond speed and polish, and to take responsibility for the impact of what we create. Technology is never the goal. Whether it’s AI or the next thing, it should always serve the same purpose: creating thoughtful experiences, products, or processes that actually work for people.
