About Natalia Marmolejo

Natalia Marmolejo is a Mexican designer, now local Rotterdamer, who gets fueled by complex problems and connecting the dots. With experience in startups, consultancy and in-house design teams, her passion for research and making things tangible for the business have proven to change roadmaps and impact people’s lives.

Natalia is currently at Rabobank, leading the Employee Experience Design Team to streamline employee’s lives and reimagine the workplace alongside HR teams, challenging policies and changing everyday work experiences.

What is your vision on our UX / creative industry? What are exciting innovations that impacts your work as well?

The UX industry is at a turning point—where we must shift from just delivering outputs to cultivating outcomes that feel effortless yet so genuinely human. As we move forward, the true craft of design will shine, and it will be what we pass on, it will be how we train the untrainable: not through rigid systems, but through mentorship, shared experiences, and meaningful conversations.

Designers will be freed to think strategically—caring not only about what we make, but where it lands, how it lives, and how it evolves overtime. This means expanding our skills beyond the screen even more, yes to more facilitation, systems thinking, and business fluency, but also yes to change management, organizational design, and data literacy.

The future of UX is not just about better tools or faster delivery—it’s about better designers, better questions, and lasting impact.

Natalia Marmolejo

An inside view and on-the-ground stories of how Design can help shape new ways of working for HR that can result in changing policy.

Natalia will explore how design can quietly—but powerfully—reshape the inner workings of a large organization. By finding meaningful, purpose-driven work to influence HR strategy at the management board level and challenge legacy thinking.

This keynote will reveal how design is being used to reimagine employee mental health, career growth and personal development and also the company’s wiki. It’s a candid look at how strategic design can go beyond deliverables to shift culture, unlock new ways of working, and change people’s minds–all without waiting for permission.
