What is your vision on our creative industry?
We've spent years turning our world-famous empathy toward customers — understanding their behaviour, their frustrations, what makes them tick and we constantly advocate for the user. But the real obstacle to great customer experience is the layers above and around you: the leaders who decide what gets funded, the forums where priorities quietly get set, the politics nobody puts on a roadmap.
What are you bringing to UX Rotterdam?
Your company is your biggest design challenge
The hardest thing to redesign was never the interface. It's everyone around you. This talk is about turning that same empathy inward — and rethinking what and who our deliverables are actually for. E.g. a journey map is not some image to admire — it's a living thing, a decision-making tool, one that forces a trade-off into the open. I'll share concrete examples from my own work on turning empathy into impact. How to have users - internal and external - at the centre and actually change prioritization and decision making.
