Who is Daria Tarawneh?
A design leader, educator, and systems thinker with over 18 years of experience turning complexity into clarity through strategic, impactful design. Currently VP of Design for Joule Studio at SAP, where I focus on shaping AI-native product experiences and enterprise-ready solutions.
Previously, I led Enterprise Growth Design at Miro, creating secure and compliant AI experiences that helped large organizations adopt AI with confidence. Before that, I led UX at AWS, built startups in Japan and New Zealand, consulted at McKinsey, and earned an MBA to deepen the connection between business and design.
What is your vision on our creative industry?
Daria believes the creative industry is entering a fundamental transformation. As AI reshapes how digital products are imagined, designed, and built, the role of designers is evolving beyond traditional interfaces and individual user journeys.
The future demands designers who can think in systems, navigate complexity, and shape intelligent experiences that people can understand, trust, and control.
For Daria, design is not simply about making technology easier to use. It is about creating clarity in complexity, empowering teams to innovate, and ensuring that human needs remain central as technology becomes increasingly autonomous.
Her perspective challenges creative professionals to embrace emerging technologies while strengthening the qualities that make design uniquely human: curiosity, critical thinking, empathy, and imagination.
